Salary: 13.5 - 14.5 LPA, depending on level of experience

We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to join our programme Delivery Team.

Our Operations Manager will support our leadership development programmes by managing our Administration Team (based in both in India and the UK), as well as the systems and processes they use.Our Operations Manager will also be the direct interface for our programme Delivery Team with our central support services – Finance, IT, Brand/Communications and HR.

This is why we are looking for someone who has experience of managing a team and is able to work on multiple projects at the same time, meeting deadlines and delivering the highest possible quality. The role is full of variety - you will work across every type of programme and audience we cover, from university students to senior leaders, in-person to online!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our programme Administration Team (6 people, 3 of whom you will manage directly)

  • Triage programme support/admin tasks and assign for delivery

  • Oversee delivery of these tasks to quality and with consistency, meeting agreed milestones and budgets

  • Ensure that admin systems and processes are properly and transparently utilised and refined

  • Produce new resources and update existing ones to aid programme delivery

  • Work directly with central support services to ensure the smooth operational running of the programme Delivery Team

  • Gather feedback and ensure this is actioned and incorporated into future programmes

To do this you will need to be able to collaborate with Common Purpose colleagues globally (across different time zones, locations and teams), using systems and networks appropriately and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of direct line management experience (including remote), preferably of running an administration or operations team but all relevant experience will be considered

  • Be able to demonstrate how you and your team have delivered successfully in a fast-paced environment, dealing with multiple tasks and shifting deadlines/requirements

  • Able to create and maintain effective project management and planning systems

  • Experience of managing stakeholders and their expectations – both internal and external

  • Experience of working across different timezones

  • Strong commitment to the mission and values of the non-profit sector

  • Have excellent written English, oral communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting on the phone/video calls and in-person
  • Be able and willing to travel for short periods of time (possibly outside of normal working hours) if asked to support programme delivery
  • Be confident and proficient in the use of MS Office and Zoom (and ideally, project planning tools)
