Job Summary:**
For our manufacturing plant in Montecchio Maggiore (VI), with over 700 employees, we are seeking an Operations Finance manager, with a total yearly turnover of about $140M for products and $30M for services. Directing a team of 2 financial analysts, the Operations Finance Manager will lead financial planning and reporting activities for the site, will drive overall compliance, and will serve as a business partner for Operation leaders. The position will be part of the Xylem Europe Operations Finance organization and will be a key contributor to its success, including supporting the harmonization of best practices across Xylem Manufacturing sites, coordinating with peers across the organization, supporting Operation leaders and other stakeholders for their reporting and analysis needs, driving operation excellence, profitable growth and maximizing shareholder value.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Providing business support to Operations and other stakeholders by working closely with them and understanding their business needs.
- Preparing and analyzing complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
- Drive performance and monitor progress towards KPI´s; highlighting and analyzing unexpected variances; proactively identifying and mitigating risks; and finding and executing opportunities to achieve or exceed business commitments
- Preparation of Monthly and Quarterly internal reports and presentations to OPS stakeholders
- Lead, assess, and provide feedback to the OPS finance team to fully align with the finance vision of high performing teams with clear goals and objectives, accountability and responsibility
- Develop the organization to support talent development, job rotation and succession plans
- Support strategic and operational initiatives within manufacturing, logistics and procurement to drive best in class product lead times, order fulfillment, product cost and productivity
- Drive working capital optimization. Work with Procurement to maximize AP days/ discount terms usage and with entire supply chain team for continuous improvement of inventory metrics.
- Manage effective capital deployment in regards to appropriation requests & spend
- Lead, oversee and manage the continued development of Budget, Forecasting, Cost accounting, Maintaining standard cost, KPIs and Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis
- Drive implementation and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures across Xylem Europe Ops units aligned with Global Xylem Operations Guidance
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support Xylem TP calculation
- Support Xylem FX hedging activity
- Support the business with ad-hoc analyses, PAR preparation, CAPEX monitoring and Consolidated margin analysis for important tenders / orders.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role (Plant Controller/FP&A) in a multinational manufacturing plant
- Knowledge of US GAAP and cost accounting
- Experience in leading a team
- Strong supervisory experience, leading experienced cost accountants in a complex manufacturing site
- Standard Cost accounting in manufacturing environment
- Deep understanding of manufacturing, not only accounting and finance but operations as well
- Experience in BPCS, Hyperion/ One Stream software, Business Intelligence Tools
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross-functional projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- MA or MBA in business related field
- Working experience in the pump industry
- Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma
