POSITION OVERVIEW
The Feeding South Florida (FSF) Nutrition Data Coordinator provides administrative assistance including data collection, analysis, and reporting to support FSF’s Nutrition Educators and the Health and Wellness Team. The Nutrition Data Coordinator will assist in administrative tasks associated with nutrition education classes held throughout the FSF service area, including partner agencies, community partners, schools, and other organizations within the network. This role will play an integral part in FSF’s compliance with SNAP-Ed guidelines. The ideal candidate is passionate about healthy eating, views health as a way of life, and is passionate about improving the quality of life for others.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with scheduling, coordination, dissemination, and analysis of all pre- and post-evaluations from FSF’s nutrition education classes.
- Handle administrative and data-driven tasks associated with FSF’s nutrition education classes.
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with SNAP-Ed guidelines.
- Assist in student retention.
- Provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally and support other FSF programming as needed.
- Represent FSF at community meetings, events, and presentations.
- Participate in program improvement activities as assigned.
- Ensure timely and accurate tracking and reporting, which includes, but is not limited to dashboards, weekly reports, compliance with grant guidelines, and narratives.
- Ensure all communications are returned as expeditiously as possible, preferably on the same day.
- Support the overall mission of the department and organization, helping to create a healthier environment and culture of wellness.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Job requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree and a minimum of two years of data entry or administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience which provides an equivalent background.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work constructively with individuals from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds in culturally diverse work environments.
- Exceptional work ethic and ability to be a self-motivated, positive team player who can reliably work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deliverables and data in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ability to periodically travel throughout FSF’s service area.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Commitment and adherence to the organization's mission and values.
PHYSICAL DEMAND & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hours of Operation: Although organization hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., this position may work additional hours, especially during peak times such as holiday seasons and disaster response. After-hours business work is required occasionally throughout the year.
- Environment: This position works out in the community and travels to different locations throughout the quad-county service area during potential inclement weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Travel: FSF serves four counties so there is same-day travel between the counties, using a personal vehicle, and occasional out-of-town travel for meetings, conferences, or special events.
- OSHA Standards Lifting requirements are 25 pounds and when lifting loads heavier than 25 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.
