Non-Executive Director

We are a leading international development consultancy with a 40-year track record of providing our clients with the information and insight they need to make development work smarter, produce better results and improve people’s lives. We offer advice to governments, foundations, multilateral agencies, development finance institutions, the private sector and NGOs on how to maximise the impact of their investments. Our knowledge and expertise are grouped around four Practice areas: Inclusive Growth and Climate Change, Fragile and Conflict-Affected Settings, Human Development and Governance and Institutional Strengthening.
As we move into the 40th year of business, we are reformulating our vision and have ambitious plans to continue to strengthen our profile and impact, build our service offering, and broaden our client base.
Itad’s board provides collective strategic leadership and challenge on strategy, corporate issues and risks. It sets the company’s strategic aims, ensures that the necessary financial resources are in place for the company to meet its objectives, and reviews management performance. Membership currently comprises of Itad’s partners and two non-executive directors (NEDs), the Chair and Investor Director.
We are seeking one new non-executive director to join our board and provide fresh insights across the full range of board leadership, governance and strategic direction.

So we particularly welcome candidates who identify as female, BAME, or from the Global South. We would also like to discuss with interested candidates whether the role could include the provision of oversight and advice on Itad’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Although the time commitment required may vary depending on your expertise and availability, we would anticipate around 12 - 15 days per year would be the minimum required.
