Nature Fiance Communications & Marketing Lead

Main Purpose:
This role requires the person to use communication, policy engagement and marketing skills to develop and promote the Value Proposition to the private sector, with the aim of transforming nature recovery and finance.
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Strategically build CreditNature's brand, reputation, and awareness of products and solutions on an international scale, with particular focus on the private sector, as well as related scientific communities (nature related), governments and the finance sector.
- Oversee the strategic delivery of impactful and high-quality content across various communication channels.
- Translate CreditNature's progressive and innovative products and solutions into compelling media and content suited to various audiences, including corporate entities, institutional investors, policy makers, landholders, and development partners.
- Secure CreditNature’s participation in high-level events and initiatives that are shaping nature recovery markets.
- Develop and implement strategies for nature-based financial products and services to ensure sustainability and profitability.
- Communicate with investors, stakeholders, and the public about the organization's nature finance initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the field of nature finance, rewilding and ecosystem recovery to ensure the organization's offerings remain competitive and relevant.
- Ensure all communications and marketing efforts comply with regulations and guidelines specific to the nature finance sector.
- Attend key conferences, events and meetings
About you:
You will ideally have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with progressive professionals, across multiple organisations, leading to business communication and change opportunities. Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement effective communication and marketing strategies would fit in with the dynamic structure of our team well. Understanding of ecosystem restoration science and emerging regulations and guidelines in the nature finance sector would be desirable but not essential.
Qualifcations & Experience:
Essential
- A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in marketing and communication, preferably in a sector related to environmental finance or sustainability.
- Demonstrable experience in marketing, brand-building and strategic communication, preferably in a relevant field such as environmental, nature conservation or financial services sector. The ability to create compelling narratives.
Desirable:
- A master's degree or relevant professional qualifications would be an advantage.
- Active membership, or evidence of working towards membership, in professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
- Experience of working within an innovation team and taking new technology products to market
- Experience working in international contexts or with international teams.
- Experience in a leadership role, demonstrating the ability to inspire and guide teams, manage resources efficiently and make high-stakes decisions. Start-up experience can be advantageous given the dynamics of the work environment.
- A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000
Location: Hybrid – preferably Edinburgh, Scotland or if not then Harwell Innovation Centre, Oxfordshire; either location combined with home working.
