SOS Children’s Villages Guinea Bissau seeks to hire a qualified and dedicated Bissau Guinean national for the role of National Sponsorship Coordinator. S/he will join an established and experienced team in the Country Office. Position title: NATIONAL SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR
Location: Bissau, Guinea Bissau.
Type of contract: Local contract. (Fixed Term)
Purpose of the position:
Sponsorships as our flagship product provide most of our programmes with a strong and reliable source of income. Through sponsorships, supporters from different parts of the world are given the opportunity to build unique, long-term relations with our organisation; gaining insight into the daily lives of children, families and communities. The National Sponsorship Coordinator provides leadership in the management of sponsorship systems and operations; s/he implements sponsorship strategic initiatives and projects, liaising with regional and global counterparts to ensure quality in donor servicing at all levels including sponsorship field services, sponsorship programming and sponsorship systems within SOS Children’s Villages Guinea Bissau.
Required criteria:
Possession of a university degree in Communication, International Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, Languages or any other related field;
2-3 years’ work experience in fund development and communication preferably with an international organisation;
Experience with video contents’ production and editing (Adobe Première Clip, Avid, Any Video Converter, VSDC Video Editor…);
Excellent written and spoken English and Portuguese skills (language skills will be tested)
Ability to manage a CRM database and fluent with the use of Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint…)
Good writing skills.
Facilitation and training skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with a multi-location organization.
