About the Opportunity

Ethos Urban is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our in-house graphics team. The role sits within our Design team of urban designers, architects, GIS specialists, visualisation, and landscape designers.

The primary purpose of this role is to develop and deliver engaging graphic design solutions across print, digital and display outputs for project specific needs as well as Ethos Urban branded material and activities.

This role would suit a dynamic and vibrant creative, who is enthusiastic to work alongside and take direction from other senior creatives, yet also eager to work autonomously on projects. The ideal candidate will also be focused on developing their technical skills and design approach within a supportive team.

This is a unique opportunity for a creative who has an interest in the built environment. They will be working across large city building projects, translating ideas into impactful visual storytelling material across presentations, reports, digital platforms, collateral and tender submissions.

Ideally the position is a full-time role, based in either Sydney or Melbourne. However, there is flexibility for it to be part-time, or Brisbane based for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Graphic Design Lead, this role will see you:

  • Produce a range of high quality material from concept through to finished artwork, while working with internal and external branded collateral, including large document layout, postcards, flyers, project sheets, brochures, and presentations.
  • Assist with developing and updating brand style guides and templates while proactively guiding staff to follow the Ethos Urban Brand Style Guide.
  • Creation of complex graphics such as maps, charts, diagrams and infographics.
  • Assist with the development of company merchandise through the guidance of the marketing team.
  • Developing graphics to support the marketing team including invitations, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram (coming soon), and EDM’s.
  • Assist the corporate and marketing team with creating graphics to support and enhance internal communications including Sharepoint, CEO communications etc.
  • Responsible for creating and organising on-boarding elements for all new staff. Items include, business cards, staff CVs, staff photography.
  • Assist with keeping Adobe library assets update and on brand.

Who We Are Looking For

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in graphic design or related field.
  • Minimum four years of commercial experience.
  • Sound working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. The candidate will mostly be working across the big 3: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience in print production processes and preparing finished artwork for print, display, web and digital.
  • Experience working in long format documents.
  • Able to jump into PowerPoint/Microsoft Word when required to assist with graphic elements
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a high-performance team environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience within the urban design, architectural, building, property, and development industry.
  • Experience or interest to develop skills across videos, animations, 3D visualisations, GIS mapping, signage and wayfinding, Digital marketing platforms, MailChimp.
