About the Job 
We are currently seeking a mid-level geologist or engineer in our Investigation and Remediation business area.  The position will support multiple clients and projects primarily in the San Francisco Bay area, with a focus on soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations.  The day-to-day work will vary and may include data analysis, site model development, strategic planning, field assignments, project management, and report writing.   Integral offers future opportunities to grow project management skills, communicate with clients, and present your work through science conferences. Most assignments will require teamwork, though a few will be entirely your responsibility.

This position offers hybrid in-office or work-from-home flexibility, but the successful candidate must be able to travel for field assignments around the San Francisco Bay area.

Responsibilities

As a mid-level geologist/engineer, your job functions will include, but not be limited to:

• Planning and implementing soil, surface water, groundwater, and air investigations, including site characterization, preparation and implementation of field sampling programs, and data evaluations
• Leading field sampling and subcontractor oversight
• Planning remedial investigations and feasibility studies under CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, and-state equivalent programs
• Completing project and task management
• Communicating technical information to varied audiences (e.g., clients, staff, regulators, and stakeholders)
• Writing technical reports
• Preparing proposals developing budgets.

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental or civil engineering, or a related technical field.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of professional experience
• A Professional Geologist or Engineer license in the state of California, or be pursuing such a license
• Experience in environmental field sampling plan development and execution
• Experience with soil logging and well construction practices based on ASTM standards
• Experience overseeing drilling subcontractors for multiple drilling technologies
• Experience planning and implementing remedial investigations and feasibility studies
• Experience working with California regulatory agencies
• Experience with sediment investigation and remediation
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• A desire to grow intellectually and professionally
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully within multidisciplinary and diverse teams
• 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training Certification.

Annual Salary Range: $75,000–$110,000

An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary, company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company-match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave (80 hours per year), paid vacation (12 days), paid holidays (9 days per year), and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be prorated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.
