You are an environmental engineer with experience working on environmental investigation and remediation projects. You are experienced in all aspects of field investigation (drafting work plans, permitting, coordinating field teams and subcontractors, and sample collection), data evaluation, report writing, and client communication.  A lifelong learner, you want to keep growing intellectually and professionally. Collaborating with colleagues with diverse expertise is exciting for you. You have strong critical thinking skills and enjoy problem solving. You can work independently or collaborate with others to find solutions. You effectively manage tasks and projects, overseeing and delegating technical tasks, producing high quality deliverables, and exceeding internal and external client expectations. Responsibilities

Your job functions will include, but not be limited to:

  • Performing/supporting remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and remedial designs under CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, and state equivalent programs
  • Implementation of remedial investigations, including site characterization, preparation and implementation of field sampling programs, and data evaluations
  • Field sampling and/or sampling oversight
  • Project and task management
  • Communicating technical information to varied audiences (e.g., clients, staff, regulators, and stakeholders)
  • Technical report writing
  • Position may require some travel

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a B.S. or graduate degree (preferred) in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering from an accredited institution, and hold a PE or have demonstrated progress towards licensure.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in site remediation and environmental engineering
  • Demonstrated proficiency in environmental field sampling plan development and execution, RCRA and Superfund cleanup process, engineering cost estimates, and/or permitting
  • Experience in task and project management
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training Certification desirable
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A desire to grow both intellectually and professionally
  • Possess strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers

Annual Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000

An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary, company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company-match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave (80 hours per year), paid vacation (determined by title at hire), paid holidays (9 days per year), and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be pro-rated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.
