Job Summary
The Membership Experience Specialist is expected to work closely with the Director of Global Membership and Corporate Engagement to help lead the organization's global prospective member pipeline; manage Textile Exchange’s membership growth and activity across all time zones, liaise between our internal teams; and play an active role in tactical brainstorms and prospective member meetings.
We’re looking for someone that is comfortable working remotely and within a global context. Flexibility around working with all time zones and being able to manage time independently are required. The role predominantly requires engagement with internal teams and prospective members, primarily via online calls with some connecting in person.
Duties and Responsibilities
Mindfully support Textile Exchange’s membership activities in line with strategic and operational objectives.
Ensure information moves fluidly across the organization by preparing briefings for all meetings, transferring knowledge from meetings to appropriate team members and liaising between Director and Stakeholder Engagement team.
Provide strategic support to the Director in preparation for meetings, new presentations.
Stay abreast of key topics/projects within Textile Exchange and the fashion apparel and textile industry.
Lead calls with prospective members, follow up and tracking through Salesforce.
Manage referrals and new member opportunities through networking and industry events leveraging your personal network when possible.
Manage referral pipeline and activity trackers while coordinating traffic across internal Textile Exchange departments to ensure a healthy feedback mechanism and thoughtful handoff to the Stakeholder Engagement Team.
Understand and identify opportunities for our members, team members, and Textile Exchange itself in the market, recognize opportunities and execute them with direct approval from the Director.
Qualifications
Relevant industry experience, and deep understanding of the industry. Especially at the supplier level.
Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably Sustainability combined with either marketing or Business Management.
Minimum of 5-years of experience in business development and marketing within either a non-profit or for-profit organization.
Experience with experiential marketing preferred.
Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel (strong skills), Outlook and PowerPoint. Salesforce and Click up or other Project Management software preferred.
Proactive and forward-thinking, always looking to connect the dots.
Demonstrated understanding and application of effective experience strategies and techniques.
Demonstrated success managing members or clients, including, forecasting, and planning.
Passion and the desire to succeed and go the extra mile.
Excellent customer service and leadership skills, responding to external and internal queries.
Strong networking abilities.
Ability to diagnose problems and find solutions.
Attention to detail to ensure ongoing integrity of account information in client lists and/or databases.
Strong organizational skills to coordinate mailings and communications for prospects and individual initiatives.
