SWCA Environmental Consultants is hiring a
SWCA is looking for a forward thinking and results driven Director of Communications and Creative Services. This position will provide leadership, develop strategies, and foster collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders to further the company’s brand and position in the industry. This position manages companywide marketing communications and branding efforts by overseeing teams focused on, but not limited to, internal and external communication, branding, and graphic design. This position is instrumental in the team’s talent acquisition strategy, and requires experience in leadership, mentoring, and supervision.
This is a permanent, salaried, full-time, regular position, reporting to SWCA’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications. The position can be based out of either our Phoenix, AZ or Denver, CO office and hybrid work environments are available. Highly qualified candidates based remotely within the continental USA will also be seriously considered.

Lead the marketing direction and strategies for SWCA’s Content Marketing and Creative Services teams.
Lead, mentor, and develop employees and support career development utilizing SWCA’s Career Landscape.
Contribute to business growth through relationship building, client engagement, and the promotion of the company’s purpose and North Star.
Oversee a wide variety of internal/external communications activities including social media, websites, podcasts, emails, tradeshow materials, video production, technical graphics, visual presentations, biannual magazine and more.
Keep abreast of current and emerging marketing trends, technologies, and competitor intelligence to inform SWCA’s overall marketing strategy.
Implement and maintain a process to track actual results against commitments and report marketing performance outcomes to key stakeholders.
Work closely with Marketing Vice President and Marketing & Pursuits Resources Director to move Marketing strategy forward in alignment with companywide goals.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related technical discipline (degrees in other specialties are acceptable if relevance can be demonstrated).
A minimum of ten (10) years marketing experience in a similar or relevant industry.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in organizational leadership.
Experience recruiting top talent and building and leading teams.
Team-oriented attitude with strong mentoring skills.
Thorough expertise with marketing principles, including content marketing, social media, and digital storytelling.
Public relations and crisis communications experience is helpful.
Ability to prioritize and handle a fast-paced and changing environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Track record of building strong relationships with team members and other internal and external stakeholders, to deliver effective client-centric solutions.

An employee in this Phoenix office -based position can expect a salary of $118,000/year - $150,000/year. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
