What you will be doing:

We are looking for an exceptional Marketing Consultant to join our team and conduct marketing, awareness creation and sensitisation sessions to improve Pula’s go-to-market strategy to increase digitisation adoption through demonstrating the increased business benefits.

The ideal candidate will be very proficient with market research, presentations, awareness creation and managing high level workshops. This person will be responsible for conducting industry, market, and gap research, developing possible use cases for our Mavuno and Fieldsense products and features, and the creation of targeted marketing and presentation materials.

This is an internal/external customer interfacing position, therefore this person needs to be highly collaborative, with strong data visualization and presentation skills, as well as the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.

You will be responsible for some key activities including:

1. Conducting farmer and off-taker surveys to research and confirm barriers to digitisation adoption and any pain points
2. Develop client facing materials for marketing purposes in a way that directly addresses the pain points, including translation to local languages as appropriate.
3. Conduct marketing, awareness creation and sensitisation sessions to improve Pula’s go-to-market strategy.
4. Lead and support the marketing activities.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in business related field
• At least 3 years experience conducting marketing, awareness creation and sensitization sessions to farmers, off-takers and/or rural/last mile customers to increase outreach in Uganda
• Advanced local marketing and ERP/enterprise sales knowledge
• Ability to speak Ugandan local languages as well as English
• Advance knowledge and skills in making outstanding and aesthetically pleasing presentations with powerpoint
• Creative problem solver, who brings viable ideas to the table
• Experience or interest in working in rural farming contexts and are passionate about helping smallholder farmers build resilience
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
• Aptitude to grasp new concepts and effectively produce results
• Ability to translate complex and challenging concepts into detailed action plans
