POSITION PURPOSE:
The Analytics and Advertising Specialist will play a key role in measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of One Tree Planted’s campaigns and digital presence. This position is responsible for compiling, managing, and reporting on key performance metrics across various digital channels, including social media, email marketing, paid advertising, the website, and the blog. The Analytics and Advertising Specialist will ensure accurate tracking and reporting through tools like Google Analytics, Shopify, and Google Tag Manager while also developing, managing and optimizing paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn. The role, reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, will also involve collaborating with multiple teams to drive data-driven decision-making and maximize the impact of digital campaigns and branded content through actionable insights and real-time performance adjustments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
- Collect, analyze, and report on performance metrics for digital campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email marketing, paid advertising, and blogs (SEO & SEM).
- Monitor and analyze website performance, user behavior, and conversion rates using Google Analytics, Shopify, and other tracking tools.
- Create dashboards and reporting templates to visualize data and performance for various stakeholders and team members, ensuring clear communication of results.
- Support ongoing optimization efforts by identifying trends and opportunities for improvement across all digital channels.
- Configure, manage and troubleshoot event tracking, conversion goals, and other key application metrics to ensure accurate data collection across all web properties.
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of email marketing campaigns, providing insights on open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and audience engagement.
- Develop, set up, and manage paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, ensuring campaigns meet performance goals like ROI, ROAS, and CTR.
- Collaborate with content and creative teams to create data-driven campaigns by refining messaging, visuals, and audience targeting for optimal performance.
- Monitor and adjust advertising performance in real-time, identifying and implementing cost efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
- Provide regular performance insights and actionable recommendations to key stakeholders to support the effectiveness of both paid and organic digital campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends in digital marketing, and advancements in analytics tools.
- Work closely with the marketing, communications, and fundraising teams to provide data and insights that support their objectives.
- Assist the Chief Strategy and Marketing Communications Officer with special data analysis and reporting projects as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Statistics or similar.
- Minimum 3 years of analytics experience.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, their metrics, and platforms, including social media, email marketing (ESPs like Klaviyo, HubSpot), advertising (Google Ads, Meta, Bing), and website performance.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and reporting tools (e.g., Google Data Studio).
- Proven experience in developing, managing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns to meet performance goals such as ROI, ROAS, and CTR.
- Proficiency in Excel and/or other data analysis and visualization tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to data.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex insights.
- Experience working in a non-profit organization (asset).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
COMPENSATION: The typical starting range is 60,000-65,000 USD, which will be based on skills and experience. Annual performance increase may be available but not guaranteed.
