About You
You are an experienced marine scientist specializing in physical oceanography, with a keen understanding of waves, hydrodynamics, and sediment transport. Through this work, you have gained experience with numerical modeling including grid development, calibration and validation, data analysis, and interpretation. You are interested in developing, testing, and applying numerical models to resolve challenging matters such as contaminated sediment fate and transport, floodplain and watershed characterization, and climate change and coastal impact assessment.

About the Job
We are currently seeking an associate to mid-level scientist for our Marine Science and Engineering practice. The role will provide technical support to client projects related to hydrodynamics and sediment transport in a wide variety of environments spanning inland to deep ocean. In addition, this role requires a high degree of technical competence in numerical modeling and ocean data synthesis, processing, analysis, and interpretation.

Qualifications
Candidates should hold an M.S or Ph.D. degree in oceanography, ocean or coastal engineering, or other marine science field.
The ideal candidate will have:
Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000
An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary, company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company-match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave (80 hours per year), paid vacation (10 or/to 20 days; determined by title at hire), paid holidays (9 days per year), and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be pro-rated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.
