The Role: Manufacturing Engineer
Who are you?
The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for refining & improving existing processes and supporting the development of new automation equipment/assembly lines.
The Process Engineer will also work with cross-functional teams throughout the entire life cycle of the product and processes. He/She will work closely with our Product Design Engineering, Quality, Production and Maintenance teams to bring components from initial design, through prototype development and finally into full production.
The incumbent will play a critical role in creating world-class, high-volume manufacturing plants for Svante as we expand to meet the global demand for Carbon Dioxide capture products (Structured Adsorbent Beds – SAB).

Responsibilities:
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
At least 5 years of execution in world-class, high-volume manufacturing process development.
Excellent grasp of foundational and state of the art manufacturing process development techniques.
Strong observation and analytical skills to troubleshoot process and quality-related issues.
Experience use of practices such as Lean Six Sigma, D/P FMEA, Design of Experiments, Value Stream Mapping, SPC, Kaizen, 5S, and others is an asset.
Demonstrated leadership in a safe work practice and demonstrated ability to drive process improvements with appropriate documentation and critical analysis.
Solid communication skills (verbal, presentation, written), with the ability to facilitate collaborative decisions amongst business and operational stakeholders.
Advocacy and support of lean principles, and sincere, passionate belief in Svante’s values and business mission.
Competency in solid modelling software such as Solidworks, Inventor, or similar.
Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
