We are seeking a Manager, Implementation to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
As a Manager on the Implementation team, you will lead a team of Implementation Professionals who are responsible for the technical delivery and success in implementing Uplight products. You will play an active role in recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and supporting a talented and passionate team.
To be successful, you’ll need to effectively collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including utility program staff as well as Uplight Product, Engineering, Sales, Account Management, and Finance teams. You must be effective at cross-functional communication and coordination that drive measurable results. You will need to be proficient in operating at both a strategic level (process improvement; long-term planning; etc) and a tactical level (resolving risks and blockers, client escalations, etc).

What you will contribute:
- Manage the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of the team. Ensure that all team members are adhering to standard processes. Address personnel matters as needed.
- Track, measure, and evaluate performance of the team to departmental goals.
- Accountable for the team's achievement of metrics and targets.
- Ensure cross-functional resources are allocated to projects in the pipeline. Work closely with internal teams to ensure client deliverables are being met.
- Ensure proper use of training materials for the team and reinforcement of project management best practices.
- Provide realistic assessment of resource needs for upcoming product implementations.
- Oversee a portfolio of projects and provide support to the team as needed.
- Maintain and update resourcing forecast for team on mid to long-term time horizon, leveraging sales pipeline data to effectively make decisions
- Focus on development of team members’ skills and competencies
- Implement departmental strategic initiatives
- Provide management and/or support of critical projects
- Oversee development and execution of implementation testing best practices - including client UAT support and execution. and client UAT testing processes and procedures. Responsible for testing execution during the kickoff-to-launch phase of projects.
What you bring to Uplight:
- Demonstrated success as a lead in a SaaS implementation or software delivery environment
- Minimum of two years experience mentoring, coaching, and motivating high performing teams
- Exceptional project management and problem solving skills with an ability to identify and resolve risks and blockers
- Proven track record in ability to effectively prioritize competing priorities and evaluate situations to make impactful decisions quickly
- Ability to build, maintain, and leverage partnerships across the organization in support of departmental goals
- Ability to navigate the organization effectively, gain buy-in from key leaders to influence decisions that lead to positive outcomes
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to juggle many projects and priorities at once in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent client communication and management skills with an ability to defuse escalated situations
- Strong knowledge of data model/database design concepts, data mapping and data acquisition technologies and processes.
- Demonstrated experience of conducting client technical workshops.
- Working knowledge of web integration including iframes, widgets, Single Sign On, APIs, commitment to high quality and high impact results
- Up to 30% travel required for in-person client meetings, company on-sites, etc.

- Passion for driving impactful change toward energy efficiency and sustainability
- Prior experience working at a high growth software company and/or working in the utility industry
- Familiarity with Uplight’s suite of products
- Experience in the following:
- Big Data technologies - e.g BigQuery
- Cloud SaaS software development environment - ie. GPC, AWS
- Single Sign On technologies - oAuth, SAML
- Experience collaborating with offshore resources

Salary Range: $97,849 - $123,018 USD
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
