Job Summary:
The Manager Financial Planning & Analysis, Xylem Analytics (m/f/d) has commercial financial responsibility for the Global Analytics segment. This individual will partner with local Analytics Finance teams in North America, Germany and Norway, with Corporate (FP&A) functions in North America, Europe and Emerging markets and with Analytics sales, marketing, product management and operations to drive profitable growth of the Analytics business.
Location for this role is our site in Weilheim (Bavaria). It is a hybrid function with presence on site and remote and does not involve a lot of travel.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
- Leading budget and forecasting cycles
- Finance business partnering to Analytics sales, marketing, product management and operations leadership
- Manage 2 direct reports
- Ownership of orders, revenue, standard margin and spend forecasting and variance analysis
- Price / productivity / inflation / volume and cost analysis to support recommendation to leadership team
- Support preparation of monthly business review to senior leadership.
- Ad hoc analysis, reporting and project work
- Support Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) process to ensure accurate orders forecast and alignment with procurement/operations
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations to standardize content and adoption of Power BI dashboards
- Assist with target setting for sales incentive plan and review quarterly payout calculation
Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Operations, or similar discipline; or equivalent experience is required
- Extensive experience in Finance, Operations, Procurement, or relevant field
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and articulate actionable, fact-based, insights and recommendations. Deliver this by telling a simple, compelling story to varying types of audiences to guide decision-making
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in use of Microsoft Office programs (especially PowerPoint and Excel) and other reporting and data mining tools (e.g., SFDC, Business Objects, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively partner and communicate with cross functional teams
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet goals and high-quality standards
- Strategic and long-term mindset
- Ample experience in multinational companies with multiple business segments
