SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, a member organization of SOS-Kinderdorf International, provides total care to the children who have lost their parents and supports the children who are at risk of losing the care of their biological family. The organization has well established projects in Piliyandala, Nuwaraeliya, Galle, Anuradhapura, Monaragala, Gandara, Peraliya, Jaffna and Mallavi.

We are seeking a dynamic individual for the following position.

MANAGER - CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS

The successful candidate will have a passion for the cause of children and have prior experience in Corporate Business Development or Relationship Management with Corporations, Foundations as well as High Net worth Individuals**.** The person will be responsible for building relationships with the above target audience to raise much needed funds for the mission of the organization.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Director Fund raising and Communications in developing the corporate fundraising strategy and annual plans.
  • Work with a cross functional team to develop concepts and proposals that can raise funds from foundations/corporations and high net worth individuals.
  • Develop a prospect base from among the target audience that can be approached over a period of time to build a robust pipeline of proposals in various stages of acceptance.
  • Manage submission of proposals and reports as per agreed time and quality standards.
  • Manage partnerships with donors/prospects including facilitating visits to programs being supported.
  • To actively be part of business networks so as to spread awareness about SOS Children’s Villages mission and engage them in future partnerships.
  • The assignment needs proactively attending meetings outside office. The candidate should be inclined to make this travel several times a week or as directed by the supervisor.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, sales/ marketing or related discipline is preferred.

  • Around 3 years of experience of working in corporate/not for profit sector fundraising or in business development where clients include major companies is desired.

  • High degree of Computer Literacy including virtual platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, etc.

  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability in implementing multi-disciplinary marketing activities with tight timescales

  • The understanding and experience of Corporate Social Responsibility sector will be an added advantage.

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with exceptional writing and speaking skills in English and Sinhalese. Tamil language skills would be an advantage.

  • Readiness to travel extensively within the country and internationally as needed
