Manager- Carbon and Sustainability Accounting Team

CQC was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Washington D.C., USA, with subsidiaries in India, Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia and on-ground teams in a host of countries around the world.

CQC develops high impact carbon finance projects under four operational platforms: Cleaner Cooking, Efficient Lighting, Sustainable Energy and Nature based solutions. Currently we have active carbon project operations in over 15 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America, and South and Southeast Asia that have improved the lives of over 20 million people.

To support CQC's ongoing sustainability, greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting/verification, and climate change mitigation programs, CQC is looking for a senior GHG/sustainability specialist to become a long-term asset to our growing portfolios across the globe. This individual will be required to complete GHG inventories, verification and validation, prepare climate action and sustainability plans, and other technical work, as well as manage and maintain contact with clients, and manage the schedule and work product performed consistent within CQC's compliance quality standards.

Expectations:

• Good understanding of various GHG crediting programs such as CDM, VCS, SD VISta, GS etc.
• Strong hold on the process of validation and verification of projects under various GHG crediting programs with end-to-end management of projects at various stages.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly articulate when reporting data.
• Prior experience of handling audits, client site visits would be desirable.

Core Tasks:

• Planning and development of data collection tools such as developing questionnaires designed to understand baseline scenarios and monitoring project activities in different countries.
• Taking responsibility for providing technical training to the on-field team members at regular intervals, to ensure smooth functioning of the project.
• Interaction with VVBs, and various project stakeholders on regular basis.
• The job requires frequent travels to project sites for extended period of time.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in the field of Energy and Environment engineering and/or in management may be an advantage depending on the field of study and experience gained.
• At least 3 years working experience in the field of climate change, GHG market and sustainability.
• Working experience with a multi-country/multi-cultural team and/or with developmental agencies.
• Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Location:

New Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Jaipur

Supervision:

The appointees will report to Chief – CSAT and be overseen by Senior Managers - CSAT, working closely with Senior Managers and other CSAT members, as needed.
