NRDC is seeking a Manager, Board Relations to work with the Board Relations team in our New York office.
Position Summary
NRDC is seeking a Manager, Board Relations (“the Board Relations Manager”) to provide key logistical and planning support for the NRDC Board of Trustees, including tri-annual full board meetings, board committee meetings, projects, and events. The Board Relations Manager serves as a close partner to the Senior Director, Board Relations and Assistant Director, Board Relations to support the successful execution of board meetings, board retreats, and various projects related to the work of the board and its committees and task forces.
Reporting to the Board Relations Senior Director, the Board Relations Manager is responsible for the creation of project timelines for all board meetings and retreats, tracking deliverables, and ensuring the team and outside colleagues are on schedule to meet deadlines. The Board Relations Manager is also responsible for ensuring superior in-person, hybrid, and remote meeting experiences for NRDC trustees and leadership, working directly with NRDC’s National Special Events team and outside vendors to ensure all details – including, but not limited to, accommodations, travel, meeting logistics, and catering – are organized efficiently and effectively, while meeting the highest standards of service and maintaining NRDC’s sustainability guidelines. Importantly, this role provides administrative support to NRDC’s board committees, including tracking committee meeting deliverables and timelines, notetaking, and providing guidance to the Senior Board Relations Assistant with regard to scheduling meetings and events.
Board Relations is housed within the Development department and is responsible for the overall administrative support of NRDC’s Board of Trustees.

We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and is commensurate with skills and experience. For this position, the salary is $100,000 to $115,000. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
