The Major Gifts Data Associate reports to the Major Gifts Systems Manager and works under the supervision of the Major Gifts Systems Manager and the Major Gifts Data Manager. Core priorities for this role will be coordinating donor acknowledgment processes and working with fellow MG Systems team staff to ensure donation information is accurately reflected in the donor database for the Major Gifts and Principal Gifts portfolio. Another key responsibility will be to support the Major and Principal Gifts teams with data entry needs for the frontline fundraisers for their activities with the organization’s largest individual and family donors.
This position will work in an administrative capacity to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent data entry for donor-related responsibilities. This will include but is not limited to, entering donor correspondence and meeting notes, updating donor records, entering information on donor plans, and participating in various data hygiene projects.
This position requires a self‐starter who can work both collaboratively and independently and possesses strong interpersonal skills. They must be highly detail-oriented and be able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while taking direction from multiple people.
The Major Gifts Data Associate will perform a variety of administrative tasks, including but not limited to responding to ad-hoc requests for support from gift officers, writing and copy-editing assignments, generating and sending acknowledgment letters and gift-related correspondence, and spreadsheet management. They will have frequent interaction with staff members within the organization and occasional interaction with donors and members of the Board and Council.
The candidate should have demonstrated ability in using CRM databases, an impeccable attention to detail, and a meaningful enjoyment of efficiency and spreadsheets.
The Major Gifts Data Associate is a member of the Major Gifts team, as well as a key part of the Major & Principal Gifts Systems sub-team. This position is based in our headquarters located in San Francisco, CA with opportunities to work remotely after the first 6 months.
Responsibilities
Donor Giving and Stewardship (40%)
Data Entry and Integrity and Database Administration for Major Gifts Team (50%)
Responsiveness to Administrative Requests (10%)

Salary is based on experience and location.
**Salary range in San Francisco, CA: $67,800 - $75,300
