LOGISTICS SPECIALIST
POSITION AND ORGANIZATION
The Logistics Specialist is a proactive, multilingual logistics professional with experience and technical expertise in the WASH sector. This role will function as an international support for the team of a CAR-based organization. The role focuses on continuous improvement and provides technical support, procurement support, fleet and inventory management support, and capacity-building.
Water for Good is a US 501(c)(3) faith-based international development nonprofit with a global staff of approximately 100 people. We provide ongoing clean water services to over 850,000 people annually in the Central African Republic, with an annual budget of around $6.5 million USD. Job Responsibilities/duties
Monitoring and providing technical support to continuously improve procurement, inventory, fleet management, and IT assets in the Central African Republic.
Support the mission's logistics department in the definition and implementation of logistics strategies, in line with the association's global logistics strategy and the country strategy
Provide technical support to logistics teams in the field
Receive and process purchase files from the field, for purchases made at headquarters and in the field, overseeing the communication channels related to their validation and good practices
Ensure the physical and digital archiving of purchasing files from the field, in accordance with the procedures in force
Ensure the application of Water For Good and/or donor logistics procedures at headquarters and in the field
Participate in the budgeting of projects and the integration of logistics components in project proposals
Ensure regular reporting of logistics tools
Monitor logistics indicators (procurement volumes, financial volumes, equipment renewal) for missions and produce the analysis elements necessary for mission monitoring
Capitalize on the logistics activity of the missions
Plan and conduct field visits to support and train the mission's logistics department teams
