The Lab School staff as part of the Cape Eleuthera Island School Team, focus on the Elementary Learning Center, Deep Creek Middle School, and our outreach programs in South Eleuthera, working collaboratively with a dedicated group of colleagues and students in a flexible, team-oriented environment. About the Program
Deep Creek Middle School at The Island School is an independent day school in the settlement of Deep Creek, on the island of Eleuthera, in The Bahamas. It was founded in September 2001 with the goal of increasing access to educational resources for people in South Eleuthera. The school has grown to serve students in grades 7, 8 and 9. DCMS offers an experiential approach to the Bahamian national curriculum.
Within the framework of The Island School’s vision of leadership effecting change, DCMS creates a learning environment where students not only learn the subject matter from the Bahamian national curriculum, but focus on academic growth, leadership and responsible citizenship. In order to achieve these core values, our programs and curriculum teach critical thinking, problem solving, communication and social skills.

Job Summary
The Logistics and Sustainability Steward is a member of the Lab School administrative team for the most part dedicated to Deep Creek Middle School, supporting the delivery of our high-quality experiential education program, and will spend time supporting the integration of ELC and DCPS within the Lab School. This role requires flexibility and excellent time management as the work environment is fast-paced.
This is a full year round position. School is open five days a week from 7:30 AM-4:30 PM from August to June with some Saturday allocation that will be compensated with half days off. It will also include transition to support for our summer camps program at ELC. Required hours may vary depending on the program needs.
