As part of our road to becoming a net zero company, we are looking for a Life Cycle Assessment R&D Engineer (permanent position) to join the life cycle assessment team based in the Holcim Innovation Center in Saint Quentin Fallavier, Isere, France.

Responsibilities

The missions of the applicant will be to:

• Provide expert advice and help implementation of country and corporate sustainability initiatives
• Carry out LCA assessment studies of R&D projects
• Support rollout program for environmental product declarations in Holcim
• Build position papers on sustainability topics
• Develop internal training programs on life cycle assessment

Education/Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or environmental science

Experience

• 2+yr practical experience on LCA
• Experience with modeling in Gabi LCA software

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong sense of curiosity
• Ambition to make a difference
• Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking
• Good organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Knowledge of the cement and concrete industry will be beneficial but not essential.
• Fluent in English

Location: Holcim Innovation Center - 95 rue du Montmurier 38070 Saint Quentin Fallavier - Isère - France (near Lyon). The site is located approximately 30 km East of Lyon city, with possible access by public transport.

Reporting to Head of Solutions & Products Department

Employment type: Permanent position (CDI) - full-time (39h/week)

Other benefits: Remote work available (2 days / week) / Company restaurant on site
