Position Summary:
Accion International is seeking a Legal Intern who will be responsible for assisting in-house legal staff in the following: drafting and negotiating contracts, researching employment law matters, assisting in the provision of advice to internal clients, and for providing general support to the Legal Department in areas of law as needed. The Legal Intern would also be responsible for certain compliance-related tasks regarding the development and maintenance of, and training on, organizational policies and procedures. The ideal candidate would be looking to gain legal and compliance experience within the context of international development and financial inclusion and would have the ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines with a sense of humor.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in Law School.
Excellent organizational skills and very strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated written and oral English language skills and ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work both as a team member and independently.
Interest in impact investing, employment and not-for-profit law, domestic and international economic development matters.
