Role objectives:

Meatable is a fast-moving, energetic company and we are continually looking to professionalize the ways in which we work. As Legal Assistant, you will become part of the IP and Legal team within Meatable. In this role, you will support the IP and Legal team in its day to day tasks. Primarily, the focus will be on drawing up and reviewing contracts and advising the organization on various legal matters. You will need to be organized and flexible, with a strong eye for detail and quality.

Main responsibilities:

Managing the legal workflow within the organization, with third parties and with external counsel
Preparing, reviewing and managing legal documents of various types, for example NDAs, MTAs, Service Agreements and Consultancy Agreements
Preparing corporate legal documents
Managing the organization’s internal legal database and filing and archiving legal documents
Carrying out legal research on different topics
Implementation of new process improvements
Assistance with IP formalities matters

Qualifications:

A professional bachelor in law degree (HBO-rechten) or an academic bachelor in law degree
Preferably, you have 1 or more years of relevant professional experience in a law firm, for example in a corporate department, notary public or other relevant experience
Ideally with knowledge of intellectual property matters
Ideally with experience of the life sciences field
An advanced level of spoken and written English
Strong communication and team working skills
