Essential Responsibilities:
- Take part in core engine development (1D, MBS, NVH, EHD, FEA)
- Lead, assist and mentor team in resolving technical problems of various priorities, complexities and scales while engaging with stakeholders
- Leverage existing analytical methods in supporting emerging problems, while creatively seeking automation and digitization opportunities
- Produce engineering documentation and contribute to design reviews
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Equivalent
- 5+ years of work experience in analysis-led design, developing reciprocating engines core components and conducting dynamic mechanical simulations
- Experience in tools and methods development (Python, Matlab or other)
- Diverse experience in CAE software such as AVL Excite, GT-Suite, Simpack, Ringpack/Pisdyn, ANSYS, ABAQUS, FE-Safe and/or FEMFAT
Desired Characteristics:
- 5+ years of experience in the area of reciprocating engine development (MBS, NVH, EHD, FEA, etc.)
- Experience in model verification and validation by experimental testing
- Self-driven, motivated, team player
- Analytical yet pragmatic problem solver, innovative thinker, networker, and leader
- Comfortable in an international environment and have convincing oral and written communication skills. Comfortable with presentation of detailed technical themes across a wide range of audiences
