As a Commercial Manager within the Service and New Units Gas Engines Commercial Operations Team your role is (i) to support our regional sales and commercial teams with the elaboration of technical and commercial proposals and (ii) to participate in the negotiation of such proposals. You will contribute to the order intake in the region by adhering to the risk management process.

Tools and Processes
- Use and maintain Service and sales tools
- Updated and maintain budgetary calculation tools
- Create technical & commercial quotes with support of relevant software
- Follow the defined risk management process (commercial / technical)
- Initiate / Participate at „risk reviews“
- Working closely with the Service Sales team and customers to identify possible retrofits, CMUs (Conversions
- Modifications & Upgrades), or spare parts and long-term parts and service contracts.
- To improve revenue projection accuracy by working closely with Service Sales managers and customers.
Documents and Quotes
- Use standardized Service and sales documents (e.g., country-specific price lists, specifications, Service manual …)
- Elaborate technical and commercial special release documents for project specific changes deviating from our standard product program
- Support regional sales and commercial teams on quotes with main focus in the aftermarket business
- Independent creation of quotes for complex projects
- Create project specific offers / calculations / configurations / handover to production, etc. with the support of ERP system
- Prepare project specific contracts and relevant documents (calculations, specifications, …)
- Prepare quotes to match exact configurations for service product offers and critical spare parts from RFQ to order execution.
- Cross functional team activities with New Units Sales, Service Engineering, Service Commercial Operations, and Service
- Management Operations.
Feedback
- Check technical conformity of our product offerings – spare parts, Material stream agreements
- Feed back potential product adaptions according to country-specific requirements
Knowledge Transfer and Regional Support
- Train regional sales and commercial teams on processes, tools, products
- Provide technical and commercial support to regional sales and commercial teams and participate in negotiations with customers
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- 1+ years of Service, Aftermarket business experience and/or Commercial experience in the relevant industry, preferably in reciprocating engine industry
- Experience in elaborating complex technical and/or commercial tasks - interdisciplinary thinking/acting
- Used to working in process-oriented environment.
- Ability to support and train regional teams
- Willingness to travel (20-30%)
- Engineering degree (Electrical or mechanical) and/or Commercial degree
- Fluent English (oral + written), further language beneficial
- Detail orientated, precise working style
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively operate in a matrix organization
- Strong Excel skills and good knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications
