Laboratory Analyst

As a Laboratory Analyst (Soil & Microbiology Laboratory), you will perform various technical and scientific tests related to soil health and soil microbiology. You will be joining the Product Development and Management (Agronomy) team. Your core responsibility will be conducting lab analyses to support environmental impact assessments of products and services that Proximity Designs is delivering. You will be working closely with the Biological Inputs Lab Team under close supervision of the Senior Agronomist.

Once You’re Here, You Will:

• Conduct all soil chemistry and other relevant lab analysis and timely report the findings to the relevant teams.
• Work collaboratively with the Direct Sales Team to ensure representative soil samples are collected for specific products/service to perform valuable environmental impact assessments.
• Conduct research on new testing methods or ways to improve existing tests.
• Manage and control Soil Health Laboratory inventory to minimize disruption.
• Keep all the laboratory records as management tools for tracking samples and identifying problems.

Must-Haves:

• Working experience in the agricultural sector.
• Bachelor of Science or any graduate.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure following proper lab protocol and entering accurate data.
• Critical thinking skill to make decisions about collecting data and how to interpret it.
• Excellent organizational skills to stay focused on different tasks and use time and energy effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to establish effective working relationships within the workplace and external stakeholders.
• Passion about helping rural farmers and improving their livelihoods through sustainable ways.

Added Bonus:

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a laboratory (preferably in soil biochemistry).
• Bachelor of Agricultural Science.
