Ricardo Energy & Environment’s experts help industry and government comply with legislation, supporting organizations through our key services – such as monitoring and quantifying air quality in a wide variety of scenarios. We have ambitious growth plans and are now seeking to strengthen our laboratory and technical support team at our Ludbridge Mill Laboratories
Role Purpose:
The Laboratory Administrator (Sample Processing) role supports the smooth-running of the wider air quality investigative research that we carry out. It requires incoming samples and outgoing equipment to be carefully tracked, labelled, prepared and dispatched. Some laboratory time is necessary, but the activities are mainly administrative and organisational and do not require any in-depth scientific knowledge. Full training will be provided.
Key accountabilities:
Duties will include working alongside colleagues in our Ludbridge Mill Laboratories, providing support for off-site experimental work. You will be trained to follow documented procedures which ensure that measurements are made to a high standard and that all equipment and data are accurately recorded and made available to project staff in a timely manner. Other technical duties will include the preparation and routine maintenance of equipment and ensuring that the laboratory, workshop and store areas are kept in good order for use by senior technicians, scientists and engineering staff. Liaison with subcontractors and volunteers will also be a key feature of the role.
