POSITION TITLE: Knockout Catering Coordinator & Program Leader
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Enterprise Director
JOB PURPOSE: The Knockout Kitchen Coordinator will manage all kitchen operations and oversee a team of passionate food professionals in a blended ability workspace. Kitchen operations include production and distribution of packaged products, as well as catering operations. Kitchen operations will grow and expand as the enterprise strategy takes shape.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Professional and/or educational experience in restaurant kitchen or catering operation
- Professional and/or educational experience in canning, preserving, pickling and fermentation
- Current Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to work independently, and ability to work effectively with team, community and customers
- Requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines, ability to work well under pressure, and ability to manage multiple tasks and demands
PREFERRED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent in a related field is preferred
- Leadership/Management experience in a professional setting is preferred
- Ideal candidate will have experience working/interacting with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; Experience working in a mixed-ability work environment preferred

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - KNOCKOUT KITCHEN
Knockout Kitchen operations vary from month to month and season to season. The balance of time and schedule will be continually evaluated and adjusted based on production demands and business development.
General Administrative
Financial
- Participate in budget development and participate in quarterly review process
- Manage purchasing, storage and organization supplies & equipment
- Manage expenses and income as per OK Financial Policy
Marketing
- Assist in the development of marketing materials & manage inventory and supply of materials
- Assist in content development for website and social media platforms
- Ensure brand management guidelines are clearly communicated to staff who will participate in presenting product to the public
- Ensure that our products and marketing are installed, maintained and presented consistent with our guidelines expectations
Data Measurement
- Assist in developing metrics to monitor enterprise impact, sales, etc.
- Maintain, update and report detail of metrics to director and team
Food & Menu
- Assume active role in menu development
- Participate in developing and managing partnerships for procurement
- Manage and monitor dry good and food inventory
- Monitor waste and resolve issues to reduce waste as much possible
- Ensure quality control
Knockout Catering - Sales, Production Ops & Customer Relations
- Ensure all facilities and activities are properly licensed, certified and insured, as required by state, county, municipal jurisdictions
- Manage all operational aspects of catering production, ensuring safe and sanitary activity
- Participate in managing and maintaining all enterprise culinary equipment
- Maintain first-line contact to customers
- Manage all customer sales, order fulfillment and payment
- Maintain regular communication in order to build strong relationships and monitor quality assurance
Knockout Pickles - Sales, Production Ops & Customer Relations
- Ensure all KOP Ops are properly licensed, certified and insured, as required by state, county, municipal jurisdictions
- Manage all operational aspects of KOP production, ensuring safe and sanitary activity
- Participate in new-customer onboarding and orientation, as needed
- Manage all customer sales, order fulfillment and payment
- Maintain regular communication in order to build strong relationships and monitor quality assurance
Team Management & Supported Employment
- Participate in recruitment and hiring process
- Assume leadership role in onboarding, orientation and continuing education/training of employees
- Manage all operational staff that participate in catering activities
- Participate in developing supported employment strategy for Warriors at Work, focusing on installing organizational and individual goals
- Administer supported employment assessments and performance reviews
- Work collaboratively within the OK Training-Professional Development plan to represent catering team’s training needs
- Manage HR-related duties, as assigned

PERIODIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Knockout Kitchen operations will vary. As primary duties lessen, the periodic duties will supplement. The balance of time and schedule will be continually evaluated and adjusted to meet the needs of the business.
Other Enterprise
- Be prepared to support high-priority Knockout Farm activities, including harvest, delivery, inventory, farmer’s market, etc.
- Work collaboratively with the other members of the social enterprise team to execute the enterprise strategy and initiatives
- Work collaboratively with OK leadership team to develop organizational strategy and initiatives, representing and connecting the enterprise activities to the greater organization activities
Program Planning/Team Collaboration
- Work cooperatively with the program coordinator and other program leaders in program planning of farm activities and implementation to achieve the goals and objectives of the program as set forth by Opportunity Knocks
- Work to support development of farm activities that are accessible to all Warriors and coordinate opportunities to utilize volunteers within OK programs
- Understands the rights to privacy, demonstrates confidentiality, and respect for differences among all persons interacting with individuals with disabilities
- Special projects may be assigned, expectations will be set forth at the onset of each project
Other General
- Development – collaborate with development team to position farm needs in grants and other funding, as well as assist in reporting related to funding awards
- Strategic Planning – work collaboratively within the leadership team to carry out organizational strategy planning initiatives
- Professional Development – participate in general OK PD activities, as well as seek out and stay committed to developing urban agriculture and horticulture therapy education opportunities for self and other farm team members
