Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Project Controls Manager, the Junior Project Controls Coop/Intern will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of Project Controls, including Cost Management, Planning and Scheduling, Project Accounting, Progress Measurement, and Project Reporting.
Our ideal candidate will be a driven individual with high attention to detail and organization, and a positive “can-do” attitude.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Working alongside Li-Cycle’s project schedulers, assist with the oversite of the detailed project schedule at all levels using standard coding and work breakdown structures
- Work with Li-Cycle’s Project Controls team to develop, maintain and report project cost information, including budgets, commitments, expenditure, forecast and variance on direct costs
- Prepare cost analysis reporting and ensures that it is in conformance with company’s policy
- Assist with the development of Project Change Notices
- Produce biweekly and monthly reporting as required, monitoring actuals and budgets
- Interface with other project controls and project team members
- Assist in the development of Project Controls Policy documents
- Assist with assigning project control accounts to purchase orders
- Other duties to support the growth, governance, and guidance of Li-Cycle’s Project Controls initiatives
Job Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled students in an undergraduate level project management, engineering or similar program are strongly encouraged to apply
- Should have an overall average grade of 3.0
- Facilitation, negotiation skills and report writing skills
- Strong team player
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Interested in innovation, sustainability, safety, and quality
