Background:
CQC is rapidly expanding its investment in cleaner cooking services across its core geographies. In Southeast Asia (SEA) we have launched a 1 million household five-year investment across Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Lao cleaner cooking project entails the deployment of improved cookstoves to 100,000 households in rural Lao over 3 years. The distribution of stoves began in April 2022. The project is being implemented by a third-party (implementing partner). Currently, CQC has only the improved cookstove distribution project in Lao. However, it will seek to identify additional investment opportunities that meet the overall mission of the company.
Core Tasks:
The Junior Program Support Officer reports to the CQC Country Manager – Lao PDR and works closely with the Program Support Officers (PSO), the Implementing partner, and local stakeholders in Lao. S/he will be primarily responsible for coordinating and facilitating the CQC project implementation in Lao to accelerate carbon transformation activity, including -
Location
The position is a NATIONAL post and will be based in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
Travel
The Junior Project Support Officer will be required to travel frequently to project sites located in remote areas in Lao. The Junior Project Support Officer is expected to travel on an as-needed short-notice timeline.
