reach52 is a fast growing, global, social enterprise start-up working to bring sustainable, universal basic healthcare services to users in low access, developing regions. We do this through an innovative service model, an off-line technology platform and embedding support within communities to help residents access care, knowledge and other services we deliver. We need a socially motivated, high achieving individual to take a leading technology role.

Our mission is divided in to two parts: community access, navigation and healthcare support on the one side; and ultra-low-cost fill-in services to sustain the solution on the other. This allows our core healthcare services and treatments to reach further into communities, prevent unnecessary suffering and save lives where state of the art services don’t always get to. At the current time our income comes from grant funding and the value of our data and services to provide a sustainable solution so that the services become embedded in the communities we serve.

Overview of the Role

We are seeking a Product Manager to work closely with the VP of Product & Engineering on product management at reach52. The ideal candidate is passionate about our mission to deliver healthcare through offline-first digital health models in rural areas. She/he will have worked in healthcare and digital health and have a strong track record of balancing the needs of end users, partners, internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic start up environment.

The candidate should be passionate about our mission, results driven and highly collaborative. The right candidate is an organized self-starter, who can communicate effectively with across internal stakeholders from engineers to business teams.

This person should ideally be familiar from the domain perspective with primary care system delivery (medicines, screening programmes, medical devices) and from the technical perspective with the development of chatbots, end-user facing apps, partner facing apps. Ideally the candidate will have the vision of how to integrate the product strategy with a broader data strategy across the company, and the ideal flow of the user experience across different entry points into our ecosystem.

We operate in Philippines, Cambodia, India, and are growing in other Asian countries, so exposure to working with both teams and end users globally will be desirable.

Reporting to: VP of Product & Engineering

What you’ll be doing

• Work with the VP of Product & Engineering to execute on Product Roadmap:
  • Help ship an easy to use, data driven app incorporating design thinking methodologies with the understanding of limitations in low resource settings
  • Identify key priority areas that require revamping the flow of the existing user experience, improvements to current products or entirely new products
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria and wireframes to liaise with technology team and/or outsourced resources to break down and prioritize segments of work
  • Keep all stakeholders informed and engaged on product releases, roadmap evolution
  • Participate in sprint planning and sprint retrospective with the engineering team
• Develop and track comprehensive product success metrics
  • Create a dynamic roadmap for KPIs that resonates with product roadmap and business roadmap and balances realistic, achievable goals with ambitious longer-term vision
  • While often our specific end-users are not exposed to direct competitors, identify similar products and services at a global level that can be tracked as competitors from a product/UX perspective and track SWOT over time
  • Create robust and regular feedback collection strategies from all stakeholders and users and track SWOT progress

What we’re looking for

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a product manager in digital health or similar field
• Track record of building and executing on a broader multi-product roadmap and integrated vision
• Relevant Bachelor's Degree, Computer Engineering background advantageous
• Track record of successful project management
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Positive and proactive self-starter with rigorous attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to travel in the region, and to rural areas
• Love dynamism and an ever-changing set of challenges and projects to work on
