PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As a Junior Health and Nutrition Officer is supporting and implementing activities in the Integrated Nutrition for Growth (IN4G) project, working alongside government counterparts in the Xamnuea district of Huaphanh province, with a focus on gender equality and disability social inclusion.
KEY DUTIES
- Tain the district Lao women union and the villagers in village saving loan groups (VSLG), women leadership, women work load
- Facilitator of activities promoting gender equality, disability , social inclusion(GEDSI) in the health and nutrition programs for Gol counterpart and villages.
- Manage activities under project implementing, planning, and monitoring on a regular, budget management that includes, planning, spending and reporting.
- Monitoring/coaching and maintain relevant and up-to-date recodes of project data monthly.
- Prepare regular high-quality project reports as requirement by the Senior Health and Nutrition Officer.
- Work closely with the WASH Officer, Health and Nutrition Officer, senior health and nutrition officer to promote capacity building on nutrition education.
- Work closely with government partners to conduct relevant mainstream GEDSI to the health and nutrition activities.
- Asisst in organizing project staff and counterpart monthly meetings for planning, reflection, reporting and and addressing project intervention gaps.
- Maintain contact with other development stakeholders (including the government) and to develop mutually beneficial relationships that contribute to ChildFund’s aims.
- During project implementation translate Hmong to Lao and Lao to H’mong.
- Network and liaise with other NGOs, NPA, CSO, government agencies and other stakeholders in order to strengthen understanding of policies and innovative project strategies.
