Local Unit & Position Description

Offshore, Midstream and Downstream (OMD) Southern Europe (Vimercate (MB), Italy)

Region SEMELA consists of about 500 employees in 8 different Areas within Southern Europe, South America, Middle East & Africa.

Offshore, Midstream and Downstream Southern European (OMD SE) Section consists of 18 colleagues based in Milan, Paris and Athens.

We need to strengthen our OMD SE Section in the Milan area, Vimercate office, with key staff able to manage customers and increase local competences in HSE engineering.

We are looking for a Junior HSE Engineer, starting as an Internship, to be working mainly on HSE projects and supporting internal and external DNV interfaces, to grow in the Engineering and Verification area of expertise.

The Junior HSE Engineer will be mainly involved in:

Supporting the Verification work on Energy Systems projects to assure compliance with national, international and DNV standards by:

• Reviewing HSE documents of Clients
• Drafting technical review notes and reports
• Providing management of databases, developing of assessment tools
• Attending project meetings
• Providing technical support and taking part in onsite visits

Position Qualifications

• Master’s degree (in finalization or finalized) in Safety Engineering and Operational Risk Management (Ingegneria della Prevenzione e della Sicurezza)
• Strong analytical skills required, especially the ability to organize complex information and prioritize actions in projects
• Good English and Italian language skills are a must, ability to make conversation and produce reports
• Basic IT skills a must
• Willingness to travel (national & international)
• Service-oriented incidence towards clients
