POSITION SUMMARY

The JDC is responsible for interaction on all Feeding South Florida® (FSF) approved online digital platforms from an organic and paid activation status. This includes but is not limited to, updating page content across all platforms per-determined strategy, responding appropriately and in a timely fashion to questions, interacting to generate additional engagement, actively contributing ideas for the monthly content calendar planning process, and submitting trends along with new channels opportunities for Marcomm’s leadership consideration.

This role encompasses work across current channels like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn, along with exploring new platform entry like TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Reddit. Most importantly, this position must always support and place the organization’s mission first with everything they do, ensuring our brand integrity is intact and positively contributing to online social currency while aiming to complement our engagement goals.

The ideal candidate understands our brand, its voice, and how to tailor content for the different audience demographics found on each platform. Quickly grasps each platform’s algorithm to help optimize organic content. Tracks, reviews, and compiles analytical data to demonstrate work achieved and can work proactively to schedule approved content months in advance while managing current posts activities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain consistent brand messaging throughout all platforms as outlined per platform.

  • Collaborates with Marcomm's team to ensure fluid and cooperative workflow from content creation on blog posts with Senior Communications Associate via the FSF website to graphic support needs with our Jr. Graphic Designer.

  • Must meet deadlines and required posting schedule.

  • Ability to create graphics and/or shoot photography and/or videography assets and content independently for social needs per platform.

  • Work with leadership to collaborate monthly content calendar for all digital platforms in play while ensuring each one supports our overall digital marketing strategy that is in line with the organization’s mission.

  • Maintain diversity in medium, audience images, and messaging to not only support FSF's mission but to promote each department’s internal success stories.

  • Manages and keeps current the Excel file and scheduling of future content while ensuring monitoring and moderating of interactions taking place on all current FSF-generated posts.

  • Track and measure important metrics that affect our digital engagement, and extract analytic data per platform to glean insights for future calibration.

  • Use social listening and be willing to alert leadership of any concerning or trending moment.

  • Willingness to learn new skills to ensure the best foot-forward approach and that best practices are not only achieved but maintained with each post online.

  • Able to craft smart and sensitive content captions/copy per posts that champions mission per brand guidelines.

  • Ability to support bigger projects or internal needs of the department on an ad-hoc basis with design skills and photography know-how.

  • Grow into Google Analytics, Ads, and other suite performance software to round out digital skillset.

  • Work in WordPress as needed to support digital interface.

Job requirements

POSITION QUALIFICIATIONS

  • BA degree in marketing, Digital Technology, Graphic Design, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in digital marketing strategy, planning, and measurement.
  • Understanding of the digital media landscape with the balance of traditional and emerging solutions.
  • Ability multi-task and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva a plus.
  • Inventive problem solver, highly collaborative, and have a high level of accountability.
  • Impeccable communication skills, including written, oral, and listening.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Hours of Operation: Although organization hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., this position will work closer to 45-50 hours per week, especially during peak times such as holiday seasons, growing seasons, and disaster response. After-hours business work is required to appropriately cover social media channels throughout the year.
  • Environment: This position works in a typical office setting. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing, and/or bending; listening, talking, and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. Occasional work will occur in the warehouse or outside in fields and warehouses in inclement weather. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Travel: FSF serves four counties so there is often same-day travel between the counties, using a personal vehicle, and occasional out-of-town travel for meetings, conferences, or special events.
  • OSHA Standards: Lifting requirements are 50 pounds and when lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.
