Role and Responsibilities: This role is for a regional IT manager for a global company. The IT Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT projects for the local sites. The IT Manager will have significant interaction with internal clients, IT associates, and third-party service providers. The position requires a process-oriented person with a focus on service, quality, and customer satisfaction. You report to and work closely with the Head of Information Technology and collaborate with other IT managers in other regions. Responsibilities:
- Ensure availability of regional office network and telecommunications infrastructure including vendor management and hardware procurement.
- Support development and implementation of regional SOPs for procurement, onboarding, offboarding, and required annual IT training.
- Ensure corporate IT policies regarding data privacy and security are adhered to for internal data handling and processing as well as with any vendor services.
- Identify needs for additional tools, technologies, and applications to support project work in the region.
- Engage in IT procurement efforts by facilitating stakeholder requirements gathering, defining SLAs, vendor search, and procurement recommendations to leadership.
- Support field operations by hiring, training, and managing a team of dedicated support staff.
- Hire, train, and mentor junior IT staff to support the region as needed.
- Provide continuous feedback on existing policies/SOPs and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Manage assigned technical projects from IT leadership.
- Procure IT equipment and facilitate the configuration with the help of IT Vendor/team for the new hires.
- Stay current with the new technologies within the regional area and work with the IT team to upgrade/adopt new systems.
- Identify shadow IT and opportunities for consolidation and standardization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/Engineering and 6+ years' experience in IT industry.
- 4+ years of experience as an IT manager or IT operations lead.
- Experience working in global organizations or across global teams.
- Ability to work and troubleshoot independently and communicate proactively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and patience to work with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users with a focus on business outcomes.
- Experience managing IT support and IT operations staff.
- Experience interviewing and hiring junior IT staff.
- In-depth knowledge of core Microsoft 365 applications including SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Teams.
- Experience implementing telecommunications/VoIP services for offices and related vendor and hardware procurement.
Additional Relevant Skills:
- Understanding of GDPR and ISO-27001 standards
- Experience in facilitating project meetings, identifying risks/dependencies/impediments, and handling multiple priorities.
- CRM system knowledge or experience preferred but not required.
