Role Summary/Purpose
The purpose of IT Site Business Application Specialist role is to be the local site application owner and primary IT contact for leadership with the Welland manufacturing facility. They will oversee all aspects of local IT applications from ideation through retirement including support and furthering continuous improvements initiatives. The role of application will own implementation, support, licensing, maintenance, compliance, and security processes within the facility for local applications. The application portfolio is focused on manufacturing, quality, and operational applications. They will partner with the Global IT organization to assure a robust support model to serve the internal customer base for enterprise applications. They will also partner with the Waukesha IT Business Partner (hiring manager) and associated business stakeholder in the development and deployment of IT solutions by defining requirements, develop processes and assisting in the creation of business cases. They will engage technical resources, operations, and service providers to deliver specific value add functionality. It is expected to work across several functions and applications, based business need and priority. As the primary point of contact for the location, they will also provide direction and guidance to the on-site deskside support team.

Essential Responsibilities
- Optimize usage and establish roadmap to achieve operational initiatives while managing the full SLDC lifecycle for company strategic initiatives
- Support and local expert to the Operational MES system (GE Proficy)
- Establish sustainable support framework for applications with defined Service Level Agreements
- Align and prioritize IT initiatives to achieve faster, more efficient and measurable outcomes - hardware, software and infrastructure; enable growth and productivity
- Responsible to maintain full lifecycle of applications in scope from inception to retirement
- Shape demand through to project approval
- Partner with business and customer stakeholders to define requirements and translate those requirements for delivery to technical development teams
- Key role to trouble-shoot and resolve operational issues as needed
- Demonstrate expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.
- Own and manage the IT demand backlog from associated stakeholders
- Be regarded as an expert in a variety of IT applications the support the end-to-end value chain
- Demonstrates excelling business acumen, knows latest industry trends
- Partner with various vendor providers on solutions, maintenance, and support including negotiating and maintaining contracts
- Project manage small and medium size projects aligned to defined PPM methodology
- Assure compliance to policy and security standards for applications within scope
- Local leadership in all aspects of the local IT eco-system
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing and services environment
- Experience with Supply Chain and Manufacturing applications
Desired Characteristics
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS ERP system in the areas of Inventory, BOM, WIP and Order Management, Warehouse Management
- Understanding of OT networks and Scada systems
- Experience working with MES systems
- Experience of Warehouse Management Systems
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence Applications such as Tableau
- ITIL and PMO methodology
