THE ROLE: As an SAP architect, you design, implement, and evaluate all systems, applications, and product (SAP) technology for Xylem. Primary job duties involve analyzing business requirements, developing and programming new computer software, and training management to use SAP technology.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

As an SAP architect, you design, implement, and evaluate all systems, applications, and product (SAP) technology for Xylem. Primary job duties involve analyzing business requirements, developing and programming new computer software, and training management to use SAP technology.

QUALIFICATIONS**:**

  • Bachelor Degree in MIS or CS preferred, or relevant concentration, with 3-4 years of experience; or relevant and equivalent business or IT experience of minimum of 4-5 years.
  • 3+ years of IT experience supporting SAP FI/CO, SD and MM.
  • 5+ years of ABAP programming skills with a sound understanding of SAP Financial Configuration, Integrations, and Related Processes.
  • 5+ years of technical experience developing RICEW components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows).
  • Experience with small to large-scale SAP ERP implementations within organizations and across geographies, along with meeting local regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of interpreting customer business needs and translating them into the application and operational requirements.
  • Communicates effectively, both oral and written, with internal customers, other Information Technology Associates, 3rd party vendors, and IT senior leadership. Prepares and delivers effective and well-organized presentations.
  • Experience working with IT-based ticketing and support systems like Service Now in a Service Desk or Help Desk environment.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

  • IT experience supporting SAP FI/CO, SD and MM.
  • Technical understanding of SAP database and tables in SAP ECC.
  • General knowledge of Idocs, batch scheduling, web service, Sapscript/Smartform, and BADI development desired.
  • SAP S/4HANA expertise is a plus.
  • SAP certifications are desirable.

DAY IN THE LIFE**:**

In this role, the working environment is generally in an office setting and may be performed remotely.  The physical demands may include but are not limited to moving around in an office environment, frequent oral communication, close vision, and ability to operate office equipment.  Time spent traveling is 10% of less.

SALARY:

The estimated salary range at this professional level is $102,000 to $183,500 plus bonus.   Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, Wellness programs, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
