Mainstream Renewable Power is seeking to recruit a Senior Wind Resource Analyst, you will be the one responsible for developing the metocean and energy assessment strategy as well as for wind resource estimation and modeling for large offshore windfarms in various geographical locations. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead site condition studies, meteorological campaigns, wind turbine layout and energy yield assessments and will guarantee these are conducted in accordance with industry best practices. Tasks and responsibilities will lie within the early stage development activities all the way through to final project completion and wind farm operation.
You will:
have the overall responsibility for flow-, farm- and physical wind-modeling
have a key role in wind farm layout design including supporting permitting activities associated with turbine locations
interact and dialogue with turbine OEMs on site-specific power curves, Turbine Supply Agreements, and documentation for suite suitability
interface with wind turbine suppliers and foundation designers on wind simulation
stay in touch with the latest technological developments as well as collaborate and link with the company’s digitalization endeavors
Keep abreast of the latest developments within wake and blockage effects
participate in internal R&D to improve procedures as well as follow-up research initiatives on physical wind conditions, turbulence, instabilities, wake, and blockage effects
perform operational power curve measurement and other post-construction assessments ensuring methodologies are appropriate
