Summary of Role:
Mainstream Renewable Power is looking for a Senior O&M Executive.
You will work with the Central Generation Operations and Business Analytics Manager to establish the operation group-wide processes and standards for all Renewable Assets where Mainstream
operates (currently LATAM, Africa, Europe, and APAC). This role will be responsible for overseeing the quality of Generation Operations activities in the regions according to Mainstream’s new Global Operations Standard (GOS) in order to improve asset performance, increase grid availability, drive cost reduction and increase profitability.
The successful candidate will also ensure that knowledge, best practice, and lessons learned during the Operations phase are captured and shared between regions. As Mainstream enters new markets the Senior O&M Executive will assist in the provision of due diligence and assist the new market to identify and recruit operation staff in that region once it becomes clear that a project will be operated.
What will you do?
- Implementation of global operations management governance to ensure the highest standards for plant performance, risk and compliance management are achieved at operational projects – Project Business Plans, Budgets, Reporting System, Risk and Issues log, Compliance Register, Community Management Plan, etc.
- Develop and implement methodologies and KPIs to continuously improve project performance
- Support the regions to increase the reliability and production of the wind farms and reduce maintenance.
- Support “in-loco” or offline to the regions whenever is needed
- Be in contact with the main OEMs and establish a relationship with them
- Ensure the Annual Operating Plan (“AOP”) template is used in all regions as the basis for an asset-specific AOP to be put in place by the local Generations Operations team for every asset including a plan for management of the asset post any warranty periods.
- Work to implement the Global Operations Standard to establish rules, procedures, governance across all regions.
- Supporting the Central Operations Manager in working with the procurement team in negotiation and execution of the Service Agreement and operational elements of the TSA with wind OEMs and PV EPC contractors or PV equipment suppliers.
- Check compliance of all regions regarding all company standards and procedures that apply during the operational phase – OMSA, grid connection, loan, land lease, permits etc.
- Provision of support during the due diligence, financial close process, and M&As.
- Work with the Mainstream Technology team to implement the best tools for Asset Management.
- Work with Analytics Tools to analyse all Assets in Operations
What we require?
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Science, or a related field of study.
- Minimal ten years experience in a related field, ideally within the renewable energy industry.
- Strong Project Management Skills.
- Experience in management of health, safety, and environmental systems in a similar industry.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team, coordinate and enthuse colleagues and consultants
- Experience to work in a Cross Functional structure
- Strong initiative and the ability to proactively identify required tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prepare Management Reporting
- An organised approach to working, task prioritisation and time management
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent English required, Spanish proficiency is an advantage
