Summary of the Role:
Mainstream Renewable Power is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Financial Modeller to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Financial Modeller, you will lead financial modelling efforts at the corporate level, playing a crucial role in shaping the financial strategies of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modelling, corporate finance, and a passion for contributing to the global transition to clean energy.
This will be a challenging position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation, in a growing market, and in a fast-paced industry.
The modeller will sit in the Equity and Transaction Support team based in Dublin with travel between offices on an ‘as-required’ basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, and valuation models to support strategic decision-making. Ensure that financial models comply with industry standards and best practices.
- Valuation Analysis: Conduct comprehensive valuation analyses for the entire organization, utilizing various methodologies such as discounted cash flows (DCF), comparable company analysis (CCA), and precedent transactions.
- Financial Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to drive corporate financial planning efforts, providing insights into financial performance, forecasting, and budgeting. Support to assess the financial impact of strategic decisions across the Business.
- Risk Management: Evaluate and analyse financial risks at the corporate level, considering market dynamics, regulatory changes, and industry trends. Implement risk mitigation strategies and contribute to overall risk management processes.
- Board and Shareholder Reporting: Lead the preparation of company valuation and performance reports for presentation to the board, executive management, and shareholders. Effectively communicate financial results and insights.
- Global Collaboration: Interact with finance teams across the world, ensuring alignment with global financial strategies. Collaborate with international teams to integrate financial models into broader business strategies.
- Financial Strategy Development: Contribute to the development of the company's financial strategy, providing recommendations for optimizing capital structure, financing options, and investment decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree (ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial modelling, with a focus on corporate finance and strategy.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive valuation analyses for organizations.
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a corporate setting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Global mindset with experience collaborating with finance teams across different regions.
