IR - Junior Project Planner

Mainstream Renewable Power is looking for a Junior Project Planner. Your primary responsibility will be to support the planning process for projects to ensure consistent project management of all projects to the highest international standards.

The candidate will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of project schedules, setting baselines and monitoring the timelines of Development projects. This will involve ensuring that Mainstream’s project management techniques are integrated and applied consistently across regions. The role will involve becoming familiar with Mainstream’s planning best practices and applying them across different regions.

The other major responsibilities will be to guarantee the quality of data that is recorded in our Project & Portfolio Management system that is used for progress reports and creating and maintaining our Microsoft Power BI reports.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Prepare, maintain, and report project schedule with forecast scenarios (duration, critical path, others).
  • Prepare regular reports according with Mainstream procedures.
  • Support Project Managers on Monthly Reports preparation.
  • Support Project Managers as necessary in review meetings, project risk management, budgeting and resource management.
  • Review project schedule presented by Contractors.
  • Create, maintain, and update reports within the Power BI reporting platform
  • Support the admin of our Project & Portfolio Management system (PPM)

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Third-level qualification in engineering, science, IT or other relevant discipline
  • Experience with MS Project an advantage
  • IT skills, including experience with MS Office and a data management system.
  • An efficient and organised approach to working, task prioritisation, and time management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team, coordinate and enthuse colleagues and consultants
  • Strong initiative and the ability to proactively identify required tasks
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain sight of the ‘big picture’ and overarching objectives at all times
  • Advanced written English at minimum.
