Summary of Role :
As the Head of Valuation, Modelling and Transactional Support, you will spearhead our financial analysis, modelling, and valuation activities. Your role will be pivotal in providing insights into investment decisions, corporate strategy, and financial planning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that financial models and valuations are accurate and support strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
- Lead the development, standardisation and maintenance of complex financial models and valuations for the group.
- Perform independent valuation for businesses, intellectual property, financial instruments, for mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, dispute resolution, financial reporting and restructuring.
- Support corporate equity and debt raise processes in close collaboration with CEO & CFO.
- Ability to audit/sense check a financial model quickly and succinctly to ensure outputs are reasonable in order to make quick and informed commercial decisions.
- Lead teams comprising of colleagues from different competencies (Strategy, Transaction Strategy Execution, Transaction Diligence)
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation to assess the financial impact of strategic decisions for investment opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, divestments, and financial planning.
- Ensure that financial models comply with industry standards and best practices.
- Mentor and develop a team of financial analysts and modellers.
- Translate model results in commercial decisions to be taken
- Stay updated on financial trends, industry benchmarks, and regulatory changes.
- In your function as transaction support, you will work in close contact with Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and commercial activities.
Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Third level degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CFA post-graduate qualification preferred).
- Professional qualification (CFA, ACA preferred)
- Understanding of the Renewable Energy business
- Proven experience in financial modelling and valuation.
- Minimum experience threshold 10+ years as a finance professional
- Background in relevant transactions support services
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
