About The Role
This is a unique opportunity to join an expanding business in the renewable energy sector. We are looking for a Group Financial Accountant that is looking to grow and add value. The role is integral to the Group to ensure best practice processes, procedures and controls are in place as the business scales. The role will be a highly rewarding opportunity for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the monthly consolidated accounts for the Group ensuring compliance with IFRS
Manage the monthly close process with each of the platforms
Assist in compiling the monthly reporting pack for senior management and investors
Assist in accounting for acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, financings, reorganisations etc as they arise
Assist in preparation of annual consolidated financial statements for the Group
Assist in preparation of annual and half year consolidated reporting to investors
Support the audit process
Prepare external reports required for key stakeholders such as finance providers
Development of the financial and reporting systems across the business
Identify improvements to key internal controls and processes
Work collaboratively across the Group, with platforms and investors
Other tasks as required within the finance team
Required Qualifications and Experience:
A high calibre qualified Chartered Accountant with Big 4 or Top 10 training
Circa. 2 years post qualification experience
Experience with a large and complex group structure and multi-currency environment
Strong technical accounting skills and IFRS knowledge
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and stakeholder management skill
Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative, multi-task and meet challenging deadlines.
High levels of energy and motivation, with a track record of delivery
