Mainstream Renewable Power is looking for a Central HSE Manager to ensure the protection of our people & the environments in which we operate. The HSE Manager will support Group HSSE Manager and other key stakeholders and define annual objectives, KPIs & actions to ensure achievement of the Global HSSE strategy approved by the MRP board. Key elements of the role are to Develop centralised reporting tools for all HSSE aspects to ensure we drive continuous improvement within MRP as well as develop & implementing global campaigns, procedures, processes & standards to ensure the protection of people & the environment in which we operate, working with the regions to identify best practices already in place & identify areas for development.
What you will do
- Identify & develop required audit tools against MRP global HSSE procedures, processes & standards, and develop global audit program incorporating projects and other regional office or hub locations.
- Work closely with all required teams including development, construction, O&M, procurement & Engineering to mitigate HSSE risk at new markets and & support safe & sustainable delivery of all phases of the projects.
- Coordinate with the regions for HSSE monthly reporting to MRP senior management
- Support RCA investigation of significant safety or environmental incidents, or any event as deemed necessary by Global HSSE Manager or senior management to ensure root causes are identified, appropriate & robust actions agreed & monitor close out with regular updates to management throughout the process.
- Provide and analyse HSSE data and information from MRP repository, create alerts, communications, monitor performance from hubs and projects, and share lessons learnt and best practices using or developing company systems and technology as part of MRP continuous improvement.
- Develop, coordinate & implement the global HSSE training and competency program, deliver HSSE training where applicable.
- Evaluate new HSSE services/providers, make proposals in the best interest for MRP.
- Travel to hub and new markets as necessary to support local HSSE teams and facilitate and monitor the implementation of Group HSSE strategy.
What we require
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in development, construction & operation of large scale utility renewable energy projects highly desirable
- Minimum 4 years working in an international company
- Strong background & experience with EPC/ BOP/ O&M contractor management lifecycle (pre-qualification, contract negotiation, technical alignment, monitoring, post project assessment etc) highly desirable
- Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Quick response and proactive mindset to drive results
- Ability to lead/drive change, and influence/mentor others.
- Good personal organization including tasks scheduling, planning, and time management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill

- Proficient with computer-based tools like Microsoft Office, Outlook, Project and Visio, among others
