Mainstream Renewable Power is in a rapid growth phase and is seeking to recruit a commercially minded BI Finance Lead who can thrive in a scaling organisation and has the ability to lead and drive the performance of the business. The role, which reports to the Head of Treasury & FP&A, will have significant interaction with Executive Management as well as the regional and cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate will work with newly implemented BI tools to build a road map for the future of the business. You will be able to translate financial data into valuable management information and provide deep insights to help drive results in the business.
The successful candidate will be a confident people person who can fit into Mainstream seamlessly and adopt a hands-on approach to developing the Mainstream Finance function. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to excel and develop into a leadership role.
This is a key role in the finance team that requires significant experience in driving change through data. We are looking for a finance/BI professional who has an inquiring mind, a talent for precision and enjoys working in all areas of Reporting and Analytics.
We value strong business finance process knowledge, experience with FP&A & Treasury technologies, problem solving skills, project management and adaptability.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Accountabilities:
Continuously improve finance systems & processes through the execution and support of key finance projects
Identify & drive efficiencies in financial reporting & analysis ecosystem - e.g., build automated solutions to reduce manual labour
Responsible for the specification & testing of reporting for the implementation of finance projects, ensuring integrity of reporting data flow from initial transactions through to accurate recording & accounting
Creation of finance process mapping documentation as part of optimisation projects, driving an ethos of process documentation & dissemination of understanding.
Design, develop and test BI solutions such as databases, data cubes, queries and views, reports, and dashboards.
Perform data conversions, imports and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems.
Implements data structures using best practices in data modelling, processes, and technologies.
Enhance the performance of business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and indexes, lead performance tuning of BI applications.
Document new and existing models, solutions, and implementations.
Lead the integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
Explore the data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies, and trends.
Troubleshoot BI tools, systems, and software and track performance and production issues, and manages the escalation of production issues.
