INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Position Purpose

A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that helps communities recover after disasters and gets children back in school.  The position is full-time and is responsible for ensuring that international program and impact data are accurately captured, translated into compelling donor-facing reports, and used to strengthen relationships with key partners.

Essential Functions

  • Curate, manage, and steward a dynamic portfolio of donors and partners (giving up to $25,000) in support of international disaster relief efforts, through the development of tailored proposals and compelling impact reports.
  • Manage the planning and execution of donor visits to international programs in collaboration with the Volunteer and Alumni Relations and Operations teams.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to plan international celebration events, manage guest lists, coordinate travel logistics, and create memorable donor experiences.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all donor activities, emails, financial commitments, and required reporting in Salesforce to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Manage and produce donor-facing international proposals and reports, including 1–3 year follow-up monitoring and evaluation (M&E) reports, while maintaining reporting schedules and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Ensure that reporting formats and content meet donor, partner, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Participate in operational meetings to maintain visibility of international programs and ensure proposals and reports reflect accurate and compelling stories.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Monitoring & Evaluation to analyze program data and translate it into clear, donor-friendly narratives and visuals.
  • Manage data quality and accuracy for all proposals and reports, including verification of facts and references.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams to align proposal and reporting priorities, with guidance from the Director of International Development, and gather necessary information.
  • Respond proactively to ad-hoc donor content requests from internal stakeholders or donors.
  • Review draft proposals and reports with the Director of International Development to ensure quality before submission.
  • Support the Director of International Development with administrative tasks in Salesforce and Google Workspace during weekly operational revenue meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the success of the Development team and organizational goals.

Position Requirements

  • Education  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Related Experience 1+ years experience in the non-profit world, with a focus on proposal writing, reporting and donor relations.
  • Special Competencies/Certifications Good written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets, Slack and Microsoft Office. A working knowledge of Salesforce is a plus. Applicants must be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. Ability to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation Typical starting salary is $38,750-$42,500 annually, and up to $46,250 for highly qualified candidates who have previous experience in this role
