INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER, OPS COMMS, LONDON, BRUSSELS OR BERLIN
E3G is looking for a collaborative and creative individual to join our Communications team as an Internal Communications Officer. This exciting new role will directly support senior management and staff to enhance E3G’s internal strategic and operational capabilities. The Internal Communications Officer will be based in one of E3G's offices in either London, Brussels or Berlin, with a preference for London.

E3G is consistently ranked as one of the top ten most influential environmental think tanks in the world by the University of Pennsylvania’s Global Go To Think Tank Index.
E3G has recently undergone an exciting internal transformation, significantly growing in size and capabilities in recent years. In this context, we are now looking to grow our Communications team, including with the addition of a new Internal Communications Officer.
The Internal Communications Officer will sit in E3G’s Communications team and report to the Chief of Staff. The role will be uniquely central to the day-to-day running of the organisation, with access to both senior leadership and all staff functions. The International Communications Officer will also support other priority teams such as HR, finance, and our Programme Management Office, to deliver E3G’s core internal comms needs.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Communications team, reporting to the Chief of Staff and the Executive team, the Internal Communications Officer will own E3G’s internal comms strategy and delivery.
Work collaboratively across teams, with both senior management and staff, to reflect the internal comms priorities of the whole organisation in your work.
Lead the continuous development of E3G’s Intranet site, ensuring the prominence of senior leadership’s internal comms campaigns, alongside regular, clear updates on other strategic and operational priorities.
Lead the design and delivery of a regular internal newsletter-style product, linked to the Intranet, that promotes updates to all staff while also gathering staff input and feedback, incorporating surveying tools.
Support all of E3G with their internal comms activities, including written products and by organising calls and events ranging from All Staff Meetings to lunch and learns.
Support the planning and scheduling of internal comms activities in collaboration with the Communications team and senior leadership.
Work closely with the Executive and Operations teams to ensure the timely delivery and continuous assessment of E3G’s core internal comms requirements, including HR, finance, and programme management.
Person Description
We are looking for a motivated individual who is excited by the opportunity of taking on this new role at the centre of E3G. The role could suit either those earlier in their career, or those considering a change of professional experience, with an interest in quickly developing their climate change and communications skills. You will be fast learner, willing to work across teams and take on a variety of priority projects. You will therefore be an adaptable and collaborative individual, with a keen interest in communications and climate change strategy. You must be familiar with the suite of Microsoft programmes essential for E3G’s internal comms, including Outlook, Teams, and Sharepoint, and be ready to use these clearly and creatively to produce tailored internal communications products.

Permanent, full-time position.
Flexible working arrangements and a hybrid working approach, with the expectation of at least 2 days a week average in-person office attendance.
25 vacation days + additional leave between Christmas and New Year.

E3G offers a reward and benefits package which compares well with other organisations within our sector. The indicative salary range in the UK for this position is paying between ₤27,232 – ₤34,796, Brussels €44,000 - €59,000 and Berlin €39,000 - €52,000 dependant on experience.
Yearly process for remuneration review.
E3G is unable to provide any relocation assistance to candidates who would need to move in order to take up this position. Occasional international travel may be required from time to time. E3G will require candidates to demonstrate that they have the right to live and work in the jurisdiction in which E3G employs them.
